All six victims were on the horse and buggy -- two parents and their four children, all under the age of 12. Two of the children were flown to Nationwide Children's Hospital, the mother was taken to Grant Medical Center, and the other three victims were hospitalized at Fairfield Medical Center. The injuries, which aren't considered to be life-threatening, include cuts and fractures, first responders said.

The buggy and car were completely destroyed after both horses slammed into the windshield. One of the horses had to be put down.

Investigators are working to determine if the buggy had properly working warning lights on the back.

The driver of the car was handcuffed, fire officials said.

It's unclear if speed and/or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

ABC 6/FOX 28 is working to get more details and will add them to this developing story when they're made available.
