ABILENE, Texas - The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council needs your help building the new Adamson-Spalding Storybook Garden.

They're for asking volunteers this Saturday to help paint 100 metal spirals. The painted coils will pair with 81 steel trees that have been placed throughout the garden. The trees will support a web-like lighting structure which will create a nighttime display.

The painting will be happening at TD'S Machine & Fabrication Shop, located at 1810 County Road 154 in Tuscola.

There are three shifts to choose from if you would like to participate, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., and 2:30 - 5 p.m.

Free lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Call 325-677-1161 if you can attend, the ACAC wants to make sure there will be enough paint brushes and food for everyone.

The garden will be unveiled to the public June 8 on the southeast lawn of the Abilene Convention Center.
