Abilene Fire Department extinguishes fire at Russell Avenue house


ABILENE, Texas - The Abilene Fire Department quickly responded to a house fire called out Thursday evening near Pioneer Dr. and Russell Ave.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire, officials told KTXS at the scene, but it appeared to have started near the living room. Flames and smoke caused damage throughout the living room while smoke damaged parts of the other house.

Officials tell us nobody was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

The house isn't considered to be a total loss, according to AFD.
