Abilene man indicted for intoxication assault after 3-car wreck
ABILENE, Texas - An Abilene man responsible for causing a three-car collision that occurred in April was indicted Thursday for intoxication assault.
Police said Morgan Layton, 38, had been driving east on Antilley Road and attempted a turn at an intersection in front of oncoming traffic. Layton's vehicle struck another vehicle head-on and a third truck was clipped by the crash.
Police didn't cite Layton at the time, but said the crash was still under investigation. Layton was first arrested and booked into the Taylor County Jail for the charge on Sept. 28.
He was released on a $10,000 bond.
