Abilene police receive 'leads,' still trying to ID caller who made bomb threat
ABILENE, Texas - Police are continuing to pursue leads as part of an effort to identify the caller who made a bomb threat last Tuesday toward Abilene police, the Taylor County Sheriff's Office and the Taylor County Courthouse.
"But no one has been charged," Abilene police spokesman Rick Tomlin said in an email Monday morning.
Abilene police have asked the public to listen to the recording in hopes that someone will recognize the caller's voice.

The caller, if found, faces the possibility of being charged with a third-degree felony terroristic threat.
The bomb threat came in at 6:35 p.m. last Tuesday..
The threat also targeted the families of first responders, police have said. Areas near the Law Enforcement Center and courthouse were searched. No devices were found.
