Abilene police warn of 'mother and son' selling expired gift cards
ABILENE, Texas - Abilene police say they're investigating numerous reports of two people -- possibly a mother and son -- threatening others and trying to sell expired gift cards to Sonic Drive-In.
We reached out to the Abilene Police Department after an Allsup's manager posted pictures of the juvenile and the woman to Facebook. She says she reported that they were trying to sell expired gift cards on the store's property.
Police say when they responded to the station in the 300 block of N. Judge Ely Boulevard, the two were gone.
It's unknown what charges may be filed, but police said residents are encouraged to report "theft by deception and assaultive behavior."
