Abilene Regional Medical Center completes Phase 1 of ER expansion
ABILENE, Texas - Abilene Regional Medical Center has completed the first phase of a $10 million expansion of its emergency room. The project, which started Feb 6. and finished Wednesday, added eight more treatment rooms and approximately 8,000 square feet, along with a new entrance for walk-ins and a new waiting room. The goal of the project is to improve care and allow the hospital to treat more patients. The hospital also redid the main entrance and redesigned the main lobby. During Phase 2, crews will renovate the other 14 treatment rooms in the ER. It is expected to be completed by May 2018.
