Authorities: Meth found in laced gummy bears that sickened Alabama students


BAYOU LA BATRE, Ala. (WPMI) - According to the Mobile County Sheriffs, a preliminary field test conducted by county narcotics agent revealed the presence of methamphetamine in the gummy bears that sent six Alma Bryant students to the hospital Thursday.

Three students were booked and sent to Strickland youth center after allegedly selling the candy to the six affected students.

Mobile County Sheriffs are working with Bayou La Batre Police Department to continue the investigation.
