Brownwood approves funding to replace fire hose
BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Brownwood Fire Department will soon get a replacement for its fire hose after the hose failed an annual test.
Brownwood City Council approved the transaction, costing the fire department $18,161. The agency will be using $12,161 from its cash reserves to make the purchase.
Chief Eddy Wood said approximately 202 sections of fire hose will need to be replaced over the next two years..
He said this is "an emergency measure."
