Brownwood church holds 9/11 remembrance ceremony
BROWNWOOD, Texas - A Brownwood church took part in a remembrance ceremony to honor the nearly 3,000 people who died 16 years ago in the deadliest terrorist attacks ever executed on American soil.
Rick Phelps organized the 9/11 event inside Victory Life Church at 9 a.m. Monday
Students from Victory Life Academy along with law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical responders from Brown County all attended the event to hear two speakers.
Chaplain David Fair, who is esteemed among emergency responders, shared his experience of traveling to Ground Zero for two days after the Twin Towers fell.
I also spoke, sharing my story of seeing the second tower fall and giving a firsthand account of what it was like in New York City on September 11, 2001.
