Brownwood man arrested for sexually assaulting 2 girls
BROWNWOOD, Texas - A Brownwood man has been arrested after a Texas Ranger investigation determined he had sexual relationships with two 16-year-old girls.
Brannon Lewis Reiger, 30, was taken into custody Friday on four counts of sexual assault and a charge of tampering with a witness, according to complaints filed through Brown County Justice of the Peace Jim Cavanaugh's office.
The court documents state that Texas Ranger Jason Shea received a complaint on Aug. 21 from the mother of one of Reiger's alleged victims that he was in a sexual relationship with her 16-year-old daughter.
The mother told Shea she "observed several text messages sexual in content on the cell phone" of her daughter, according to court documents.
Both victims admitted to Shea they had sexual relations with Reiger at his home near East Elementary School in Brownwood.
Shea interviewed Reiger on Aug. 22, where he admitted to being sexually involved with both girls, according to court documents.
Reiger was also charged with tampering with a witness after Shea discovered he was telling one of the victims "not to tell the truth about their relationship to police."
Reiger bonded out of jail on Monday, according to the Brown County Jail's website.
