BROOKESMITH, Texas - Five Brown County fire agencies responded to a mobile home engulfed in flames Sunday afternoon

Brownwood firefighters arrived to the blaze near 6200 FM 1176 at 11:36 a.m., according to Fire Marshal Buddy Preston.

"It's a total loss, the trailer is a loss," Preston said on Monday. "There's parts of it still standing, but it sustained heat and smoke damage."

Preston said it took firefighters about an hour to extinguish the flames and no one was home at the time.

"We don't have an official cause, but it started in the middle of the bedroom and I found a radiated heater," Preston said.

Brownwood, Bangs, Early, Winchell, and Brookesmith fire departments responded to the scene.

Ryan and Breanna Boenicke owned the home and lived there with their two young children. A GoFundMe page was set up to help them out.
