Teen arrested after making 16 calls to 911, running from Brownwood police


BROWNWOOD, Texas - A teen was arrested Sunday night for calling 911 emergency dispatch in Brownwood 16 times, but not before he led police on a brief foot chase, according to a report.

Police responded to the 1400 block of Avenue A in reference to a domestic disturbance. They also said dispatch continued to receive more 911 calls from the juvenile while officers were at the scene.

When officers located the juvenile, he ran away from them, according to police.

During that chase he continued making 911 calls for a total of 16 times. Police said he was stopped and arrested in the 400 block of Coleman Street.

He was taken into custody for abuse of 911, according to police.
