Cisco Police Department welcomes new chief


CISCO, Texas - The City of Cisco welcomed its new chief of police Monday morning.

Chief Scott McAuley and his K-9 partner Niki came from the Seagraves Police Department, where was police chief and served three years with that department.

KTXS obtained a copy of McAuley's service record from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. According to it, McAuley has been a police officer for more than 33 years.

Before Seagraves, McAuley spent more than 30 years with the Arp Police Department, including nearly 27 as chief.

On social media McAuley said, "This move will put me closer to my children and grandchildren. I ask that the citizens please stand behind the officers and staff remaining with the Seagraves Police Department. They are very dedicated to the safety and well-being of this city and its people."

McAuley is from Monahans and studied Criminal Justice at Tyler Junior College.
