Stripes looking for buyer of West Texas convenience stores

ABILENE, Texas - Sunoco has announced it will be selling a bulk of its Stripes Convenience Stores across the U.S. to 7-Eleven, but the move does not include locations in Abilene, San Angelo or Midland.

That sale will take place sometime in the next year.

But the nearly 200 Stripes stores in west Texas and southwestern Oklahoma will eventually be sold to a company other than 7-Eleven.

Stores in Abilene, San Angelo and Midland will continue to operate normally until a buyer is found.
