Friends of the Library book sale ends Sunday

ABILENE, Texas - If you're looking for some good books to read this summer, the Friends of the Abilene Public Library are having their annual book sale at the Abilene Convention Center. You'll find a wide selection of books, movies, music, children's books and more. "We have people from across the city, different backgrounds, different churches, different ages and different races," said organizer Tim Bench. "Everybody comes together and helps support Abilene's library system and it is wonderful. It's become a fixture of the city of Abilene for the last 28 years and it gets a little bit bigger every year." Tomorrow is the final day of the sale. For six dollars you'll get a bag where you can take as many books as you can fit into it. The bags will be provided from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and the proceeds benefit the Abilene Public Library.
