Global Samaritan seeks your help: Supplies needed for Hurricane Harvey recovery


ABILENE, Texas - Global Samaritan Resources is collecting supplies for the recovery in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

Noting that it will "take months if not years to clean up," the organization is asking for help in gathering "critically needed supplies that might otherwise be overlooked," a news release said Tuesday.

Global Samaritan will be open beginning Wednesday -- from 7 a.m. to noon on weekdays -- for people to drop off the following items:

- Leather work gloves

- Rubber Gloves

- Dust masks

- Baby Diapers - all sizes through pull-ups for toddlers

- Baby Formula

- Paper goods including toilet paper and paper towels

- Heavy Duty large size garbage bags

- Brooms and mops

- Shovels

Its offices are located in the 2000 block of North 1 st Street in Abilene.

"We will continue to develop and update this list as we move through the various phases and new unmet needs are identified by our partners serving in the field," the release said.
