ABILENE, Texas - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team beat Mary Hardin-Baylor 3-0 to claim its 15th straight American Southwest Conference title in front of a jam-packed HSU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
"I am so proud of this team, they come in and put in the work and now is when the rewards for all of that work start to come in," said HSU head coach Marcus Wood. "It is never easy and Barry has done a great job getting their program to this level. They are a very talented team."
The Cowgirls struck first in the 25th minute when senior Evan Pipkin finished off a shot in front of the box on a scramble.
Kenne Kessler made it 2-0 in the 40th minute when she took a corner from Tori Waters and finished for her 34th goal of the year.
