Joint FBI-Taylor County Sheriff's Office narcotics investigation results in 4 more arrests

ABILENE, Texas - A joint FBI-Taylor County Sheriff's Office narcotics investigation has resulted in a second wave of warrants and in the arrest of four more people in Abilene.

Taken into custody about 6 a.m. Thursday were:

*- Latheresa Dockens, 28 - warrant served at 3741 Scranton.

*- Latisha Vita, 27 - warrant served at 4401 N. 9th St.

*- Stacy Watkins, 45 - warrant served at 4742 N. 7th St.

*- Fredrick Johnson, 34 - warrant served at 1942 N. 18th St.

The four were arrested on two counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, according to a news release by the Taylor County Sheriff's Office. One pound of meth was recovered.

Thursday's arrests were the "second round of warrants" in an investigation conducted by the Taylor County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and FBI.

About a half dozen people were arrested after search warrants were executed at residences on Peach Blossum and Walnut streets in August .

Arrested then were Jamall Dunson, Driessan Russell, Joe Spafford, Trystan Napper, and Michael Huettel.

Since then, 25-year-old Jovi Rodriguez, 31-year-old Dorian Powdrill and 25-year-old Sammy Spafford have been arrested as a result of this investigation.
