ABILENE, Texas - High temperatures in our region Thursday were 100 degrees or higher. High temperatures ranged from 100 in Abilene and several other locations to 105 in Aspermont. High temperatures should be mainly in the 90s for Friday.

We have been tracking weakening thundershowers moving east towards our area Thursday evening. They are forecast to fade before reaching our western counties. Look for mostly fair skies Thursday night with low temperatures Friday morning around 70.

Mostly sunny skies are forecast for Friday. High temperatures should be in the middle to upper 90s - still about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Isolated late afternoon and evening thundershowers will be possible mainly west and north of our area Friday. The Snyder area could see a stray thundershower Friday evening, but the rest of our area will likely stay dry Friday night. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be around 70.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. High temperatures should be in the low to middle 90s each day.

We are tracking Tropical Storm Norma off of the western coast of Mexico. She is forecast to move north over the weekend. She could send tropical moisture into our area by Tuesday and help bring us good chances for rain mainly Tuesday.
