KTXS Forecast: Another cold front to keep near normal highs through the week.
ABILENE, Texas - Good morning! As you're getting up conditions outside will be clear to mostly clear with temperatures in the low 30s to low 40s and winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. You will need a warm jacket when you leave the house today. Thursday afternoon will see highs stay around normal in the mid-60s as another cold front pushes through the region. Skies will start off mostly sunny but build more cloud cover through the day and winds will turn to the northeast at 5-10 mph. Thursday night lows will cool back to the mid/ upper 30s with partly cloudy conditions. On Friday highs will warm back to above normal conditions in the mid/ upper 60s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and winds will drop back to the south at 5-10 mph. Friday night is expected to be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 30s/ low 40s. In to the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday look like they will be rather nice as highs stay in the low/ mid-70s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions. Winds will be out of the south/ southwest at 5-15 mph. Lows through this period will be in the low 50s with partly cloudy skies. On Monday another cold front will move into the region. This will cause skies to stay partly cloudy and highs to range from the mid-60s to low 70s as the front rolls through. Winds will turn to the northeast at 5-10 mph and we will have a 10 percent chance of showers. By Monday night the Big Country is expecting mostly cloudy conditions with lows in the upper 40s and to have lingering rain chances. Tuesday and Wednesday currently look like they will be mostly cloudy with temperatures below average in the mid/ upper 50s. Winds will remain out of the northeast around 5-10 mph both days and there will be a 10-20 percent chance of showers on Tuesday.
