KTXS Forecast: Back to normal conditions with another cold front on the way.

ABILENE, Texas - Good morning! As you're getting up conditions outside will be clear to mostly clear with temperatures in the upper 30s to mid-40s and winds will be out of the northwest at 5-15 mph. You'll be needing a jacket when you leave the house today.

Wednesday afternoon will finally see high temperatures return to near average in the low/ mid-60s. Skies will be mostly sunny across the region with winds switching to the southwest at 5-10 mph. Into Wednesday night we will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the mid/ upper 30s.

On Thursday, another cold front will begin moving into the region. This will cause skies to be mostly sunny with highs staying in the mid/ upper 60s and winds will turn back to the northeast at 5-10 mph. Thursday night we'll be mostly clear to partly cloudy and in the upper 30s/ low 40s.

For Friday, conditions will remain pretty consistent as highs stay in the mid/ upper 60s with partly cloudy conditions and winds will return to the south at 5-10 mph. Friday night lows will be in the low/ mid-40s with partly cloudy skies.

Into the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday look like they will be partly cloudy with highs warming back above normal in the low/ mid-70s and winds will stay out of the south/ southeast at 5-10 mph. Lows through this period will be in the upper 40s/ low 50s with partly cloudy conditions.

On Monday, cloud cover will build in slightly through the afternoon and highs will be in the upper 60s. Winds across the Big Country will turn to the southeast at 5-10 mph and there will be a 10 percent chance of isolated showers through the day. Into Monday night another cold front will start moving into the region. We will become mostly cloudy and have lows in the upper 40s.

By Tuesday the cold front will push through the Big Country. This will cause us to be mostly cloudy, see highs in the mid-60s, have winds turn to the northeast at 5-10 mph and there will be a 10 percent chance of isolated showers. Tuesday night is expected to be mostly cloudy and in the low/ mid-40s.
