KTXS Forecast: Back to warm and dry weather
ABILENE, Texas - We tracked an upper level system through our area Tuesday that brought showers to most of our area. Some of the "higher" totals came from near Colorado City and near Albany where 0.11 inches of rain were measured at both locations.
That rain-maker has moved east and we are now looking at dry weather for the next several days.
Mostly cloudy skies should continue south of I-20 Tuesday night with fair to partly cloudy skies elsewhere. Low temperatures Wednesday should be in the low to middle 40s.
Look for mostly sunny skies by afternoon Wednesday. High temperatures should be in the lower 80s. Watch out for breezy southwest winds around 20 mph during the afternoon.
Warmer air stays with us Wednesday night with southwest winds at 15-20 mph. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be around 60.
Sunny and breezy conditions should continue Thursday. Afternoon temperatures may climb to near 90.
Warm weather and mostly fair skies are forecast for Friday and Saturday with highs in the middle 80s. Some clouds are expected Sunday and Monday, but dry conditions should continue.
