KTXS Forecast: Big changes are on the way
ABILENE, Texas - For the first day of fall, temperatures didn't really reflect it. Highs were once again in the low to mid-90s across the Big Country with lots of sunshine. As we go into the weekend, expect the weather to change and it will soon feel more like fall.
Tonight, expect breezy conditions to continue overnight with lows falling to the low 70s.
Through the day Saturday, expect cloud cover to increase from west to east through the day. Highs will be slightly cooler and stay in the low 90s. Winds will be from the southeast at 15 mph with stronger gusts possible once again. Rain is expected to stay well west of the area. Lows will be down to the low 70s once again.
Sunday, mostly cloudy conditions will keep temperatures in the upper 80s/ low 90s. Rain chances are expected to slowly work their way in the afternoon to our western most counties. Lows will be in the upper 60s/ low 70s.
Very rainy conditions set up for most of the Big Country beginning on Monday. A front is expected to stall out just to the west of our area and won't fully move through until Thursday. Rain totals could be as high as 7 inches for the week.
Temperatures will come back down closer to average and even below average through next week.
Happy Friday! -MM-
