KTXS Forecast: Breezy conditions carry on through Sunday
ABILENE, Texas - Gusty conditions will continue overnight with south winds holding steady at about 20 mph. Skies will be partly cloudy with mild lows in the lower 60's for the area.
For Palm Sunday, expect another warm and windy day with highs in the mid-80's. Winds will be from the south/southwest between 15-20 mph with gusts possible up to 30 mph. Sunday night, cloud cover will increase and lows will be in the lower 60's. Winds will calm from the south at 10-15 mph.
Monday, rain chances roll in with a 30 percent chance of thundershowers. This rain is associated with a front that will push through mid-morning and bring those highs back into the mid-70's. Winds will be from the north at 15 and shift to the east at 15. Gusts are possible. Monday night, rain chances continue at a 40 percent chance of thundershowers. Lows will be in the lower 50's.
Tuesday, 40 percent chance of thundershowers continues. Highs will be in the upper 60's for the region. Winds will be from the east at 10-15 mph. Tuesday night, lows will be in the upper 50's with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be from the southeast at 10-15 mph.
Wednesday, mostly cloudy conditions will keep that sunshine away and highs will be in the upper 70's/lower 80's. Southeast winds will be about 15 mph. Overnight, mild lows will be in the upper 60's.
Thursday, rain chances come into play again. A 20 percent chance of rain will be for the Heartland/ Concho Valley areas. Highs will be in the upper 70's/lower 80's. Winds will be from the south at 10-20 mph with those gusty conditions possible. Overnight, lows will be in the lower 60's.
Friday and Saturday look to be warm and breezy as well.
