KTXS Forecast: Clearing into the end of the week with warming temperatures.
ABILENE, Texas - Good morning! As you're getting up conditions outside are partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with temperatures ranging from the low 50s to low 60s and winds are out of the north around 5-15 mph. There will be isolated shower chances for the eastern half of the Big Country and once again fog is possible across the region during the morning commute. Thursday afternoon will see around average highs in the upper 60s to low 70s with clearing conditions and winds switching to the southwest at 5-10 mph. Thursday night the region will be mostly clear to partly cloudy and in the mid/ upper 50s. For our Friday, highs are going to bounce to well above normal for this time of year in the low/ mid-80s! Skies will be mostly sunny across the Big Country with winds building out of the southwest at 10-20 mph. Into Friday night our next cold front will begin to move into the region. Skies will remain mostly clear and lows will cool to the upper 40s to upper 50s. Into the weekend, on Saturday, highs will be back in the low/ mid-60s due to the overnight cold front and winds will be out of the north at 15-25 mph with mostly sunny skies. Saturday night winds will dial back, skies remain mostly clear and lows will be in the upper 30s/ low 40s. Sunday afternoon the region will remain around normal in the mid-60s with continued mostly sunny skies. Sunday night will see winds switch to the southeast at 5-10 mph and lows cool to the low 40s. By Monday highs will be back in the upper 60s/ low 70s with building cloud cover through the day and winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph. Monday night will be partly cloudy and in the upper 40s. On Tuesday it looks like another weak cold front will slide into the region. Skies will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s and winds will switch to the north at 5-15 mph. Into Tuesday night lows will reach the mid-40s and there will be a 10 percent chance of isolated showers across the Big Country. Currently, for Wednesday, it looks like the region will remain partly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s/ low 70s and there will be a 10-20 percent chance of isolated showers across the region.
