KTXS Forecast: Cold Start with a warm& sunny Thanksgiving afternoon across the state.

ABILENE, Texas - Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! As you begin the day temperatures will range from the upper 20s to mid-30s with clear skies and winds are out of the south at 5-10 mph. If you are going out early or headed to a morning Turkey Trot, you will need a warm coat.

Thanksgiving Day will warm to above average conditions with highs in the low/ mid-70s, have sunny skies for all and mild winds out of the west/ southwest at 5-10 mph. The clear skies will remain overnight and lows will cool to the upper 30s/ low 40s.

On Friday, highs will continue to warm across the region, making it to the upper 70s/ low 80s by the late afternoon. Skies are going to be sunny and winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph. Friday night lows will cool to the low/ mid-40s with clear conditions.

Into the weekend, on Saturday, our next cold front will push through the region. Highs will range from the upper 60s to mid-70s as it does but skies will remain mostly sunny and winds will switch to the north at 5-10 mph. Saturday night we will be clear and in the low/ mid-40s.

Sunday will be similar to Saturday with highs remaining in the low 70s, have sunny skies and winds will switch to the south at 5-10 mph. Sunday night will cool to the low 50s with clear conditions.

On Monday we will begin to warm back to the mid-70s across the Big Country, which is above normal for this time of year. Skies will remain sunny with southwest winds at 5-10 mph. Monday night will cool to the upper 40s with clear skies.

For Tuesday, another cold front will move through the Big Country through the afternoon. This will cause highs to range from the upper 60s to mid-70s, winds to switch to the north at 5-15 mph and skies will become mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and in the low 40s.

Currently Wednesday looks like it will be partly cloudy with northeast winds at 5-15 mph and highs will be closer to average in the low/ mid-60s. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy and in the upper 30s/ low 40s.
