KTXS Forecast: Continued warm and muggy
ABILENE, Texas - Temperatures were near normal in Abilene Tuesday with partly cloudy skies. Above normal temperatures are forecast through Friday.
Clouds should return early Wednesday morning. Low temperatures should be around 60. Mostly sunny skies are expected by afternoon. High temperatures Wednesday should be in the middle 80s. South winds should increase into the 15-20 mph range.
Clouds should once again move back in for Thursday morning. Low temperatures should be in the middle 60s. Sunny skies are expected for the afternoon. High temperatures should be in the middle to upper 80s.
A weak cold front should drift into the northern portions of the Big Country Thursday evening. We have a chance for thundershowers mainly north of I-20 between sundown and midnight. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies with low temperatures Friday morning in the middle 60s.
Breezy southwest winds are forecast for Friday. Mostly sunny skies are expected with Friday afternoon temperatures near 90.
Thunderstorms will be possible for mainly our eastern areas for late Friday afternoon and Friday evening. Elsewhere, look for mostly fair skies Friday night with noticeably cooler temperatures as cold front moves south into our area. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be around 50.
