KTXS Forecast: Continued warm through Saturday
ABILENE, Texas - Above normal temperatures were back with us Thursday afternoon with highs ranging from 86 to 90. Warm air will stay over our area until a cold front moves in Saturday night.
Clouds are forecast to move in late Thursday night. Low temperatures Friday morning should be in the middle 60s.
Mostly sunny skies are forecast to be with us before noon Friday. High temperatures should be near 90.
Fair skies and warm temperatures are forecast for the Friday night football games. Temperatures should be near 80 at kickoff and back down to the middle 70s by the end of the game.
Morning clouds are expected for Saturday but sunny skies should be with us Saturday afternoon. High temperatures should be around 90.
A fairly strong cold front is forecast to move south through our area between midnight and sunrise Sunday. Showers and thundershower are likely with many locations picking up around 1/2 inch of rain. Severe storms are not forecast. Low temperatures Sunday morning should be in the 50s.
Showers may linger Sunday morning, but clearing skies from northwest to southeast are expected for Sunday afternoon. High temperatures should be in the 60s.
Fair skies with lows in the 40s and highs in the 70s are forecast for Monday and Tuesday.
