KTXS Forecast: Continued warming temperatures into Saturday
ABILENE, Texas - The Big Country and Heartland started out in the 40s Wednesday morning. The Concho Valley saw low temperatures in the lower 50s. If you like the cool temperatures, unfortunately, they are not expected to be as cool again Thursday morning.
South winds returned to our region Wednesday afternoon and they should stay through Saturday. They will help to keep warm, above normal temperature air over us until a cold front moves in early Sunday.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday night. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be around 60. Partly cloudy skies should continue for the day Thursday. Afternoon temperatures should climb into the middle 80s.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected to return Thursday night, but dry with should hold. Low temperatures Friday morning should be in the upper 60s.
Friday should be partly cloudy with high temperatures in the upper 80s. It should be dry and warm for football games Friday evening. Temperatures for the games should be in the 70s.
It should be partly cloudy and warm again Saturday with highs in the upper 80s.
A cold front is forecast to move through our area early Sunday morning. Showers or thundershowers are expected mainly between midnight and sunrise Sunday. Some sunshine is forecast for Sunday afternoon. High temperatures should be back down around 70 Sunday.
