ABILENE, Texas - Tonight, expect lows not quite as chilly as last night. As our winds have shifted back to the southwest, our temperatures will not dip as low, into the 30s, as night's past. Expect a chilly start Monday morning with temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. Some low lying areas could see low 40s. Winds will be from the southwest at 10 to 15 mph under clear skies.

Through the day on Monday, a front will make it's way across the Big Country. High temperatures will be determined by the timing of the front. Northern most counties will see high temperatures in the mid-60s while southern areas will reach to the mid to upper 70s. Winds will shift to the north at 15 to 25 mph with stronger gusts possible. No rain is expected with this front. Lows overnight will be in the upper 30s to upper 40s.

For Halloween, rain is in the forecast. Cloud cover will continue to build in through the morning and about mid-day, rain showers will make their way across the Big Country from west to east. Storms are not expected to be severe. They will make their way out of the area in the evening. For trick-or-treating, rain chances will be on the decline but are most possible in the eastern half of the Big Country. Lows overnight will be in the low to mid-40s.

Wednesday and Thursday, expect temperatures to creep back into the 80s as sunshine and southwest flow comes back to the area. Sunshine continues through the rest of the week.

Have a great week! -MM-
