KTXS Forecast: Cool weather continues
ABILENE, Texas - For today, sunnier skies are anticipated but temperatures won't warm up much. We will start out cold and remain on the cool side with readings topping out in the 50s. Our wind will be light and variable in direction.
Mostly clear skies continue tonight. Overnight lows drop to the upper 20s and lower 30s again. An east to southerly wind should come about at 5 to 10 mph.
A weak disturbance, riding along the east side of the Rockies, will help enhance cloud development on Friday. We will start out sunny but likely end the day with partly sunny to even mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures may also be a few degrees cooler with upper 40s to lower 50s forecast.
As that disturbance pushes east, there may be a small chance for a shower to pop up in our southwestern most counties Friday night. Those counties that include the small rain chance are Tom Green, Sterling, and Coke. Elsewhere will stay dry.
Sunnier skies return over the weekend with middle 50s for high temperatures Saturday then mid-60s Sunday.
We continue with sunshine and high temps rebounding to the 60s through at least Wednesday of next week with dry weather continuing.
