KTXS Forecast: Decreasing high temperaures ahead
ABILENE, Texas - We tracked scattered showers and thunderstorms in our western areas Thursday afternoon. These faded by sundown Thursday. Look for partly cloudy skies for the rest of Thursday night. Low temperatures Friday morning should be in the lower 70s.
We are tracking a weak disturbance moving westward from eastern Texas. This should help trigger isolated afternoon showers in our area Friday. Otherwise, look for partly cloudy skies Friday with highs in the lower 90s.
Dry weather is forecast for Friday night. Temperatures for the games should be in the 80s. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be near 70.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Saturday. High temperatures should be in the lower 90s. Clouds should be on the increase Sunday with high temperatures near 90.
A large upper level low pressure system is forecast to move through our region next week. This should bring us mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thundershowers Monday into Thursday. Heavy rainfall will be possible especially Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs should be in the 80s.
A cold front is expected to move in late Thursday and bring back fair skies and mild temperatures for next weekend.
