KTXS Forecast: Decreasing rain chances with above average highs
ABILENE, Texas - Monday morning, there is a chance of lingering isolated thundershowers.
Monday afternoon highs will warm to the upper 70s/ low 80s with clearing skies, winds from the southeast at 5-10 mph and a 20 percent chance of isolated showers across the Big Country. Tonight rain chances move out, skies build back to partly cloudy and lows cool to the low 60s.
By Tuesday afternoon skies will clear to mostly sunny with highs in the low/ mid-80s and have winds from the southeast at 5-15 mph. Tuesday night will be mostly clear with lows in the low 60s.
Wednesday we warm even more to the mid/ upper 80s with sunny skies and winds from the south at 10-20 mph. Wednesday night we cool to the low/ mid-60s with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
For Thursday the area will see a bit of cloud cover build in but we will remain mostly sunny. Highs will warm to the mid-80 with winds out of the southeast at 5-15 mph. Thursday night skies become partly cloudy with lows in the low 60s.
On Friday skies remain partly cloudy with highs in the low/ mid-80s and have winds from the southwest at 10-20 mph. Into Friday night cloud cover remains, lows cool to the mid-50s and there will be a 20 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms for the area.
Saturday morning a cold front will push through the region. This will cause skies to be partly cloudy with highs in the low 70s and cause winds to shift to the north at 10-15 mph. Saturday night we will see skies clear slightly and lows will cool to the upper 40s.
Sunday currently looks like it will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s.
