KTXS Forecast: Dry and cool Thursday

ABILENE, Texas - A stronger push of cool air moved into our area Wednesday. We tracked a weak disturbance through that brought some clouds, but no precipitation. Skies have cleared Wednesday evening.

Freezing temperatures are expected Thursday morning with lows in the upper 20s. Sunny skies and light winds should help push temperatures back into the middle 50s Thursday afternoon.

Clouds are forecast to move in from the south late Thursday night but dry weather should continue. Low temperatures Friday morning should be around 30.

Mostly cloudy skies should be with us Friday. We are tracking a chance for light showers mainly in the Concho Valley Friday afternoon. High temperatures should be in the lower 50s.

We'll keep a chance for rain showers in the Concho Valley for Friday night. Otherwise, skies should clear from north to south in the Big Country. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be around freezing.

Sunny skies are forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Afternoon temperatures should be in the upper 50s Saturday and in the lower 60s Sunday.
