KTXS Forecast: Dry and warmer conditions on the way Monday
ABILENE, Texas - Expect rain to continue into the early evening hours but tapering off by midnight. Skies will clear out a bit going into the morning with lows only getting to the mid-40's. Winds will be from the west at 5-15 mph.
Monday, sunshine returns as well as temperatures in the mid-70's. Skies will be mostly sunny across the region by the late afternoon. Overnight, winds turn back to the southwest between 10-15 mph. Lows will be in the mid-50's.
Tuesday will be warm and windy. Highs will return to the lower 80's and winds will be in from the west at 15-20 mph with higher gusts possible. Cloud cover will increase through the day and evening. A front will move through overnight, shifting winds back to the north and calming them to about 10 mph. Lows will be in the lower 40's.
Wednesday will be a beautiful day. Sunshine will work its way back in and highs will only be in the upper 60's. North winds will be between 10-15 mph. Lows overnight will be in the lower to mid-40's.
Thursday, mostly cloudy skies will roll in and highs will be in the mid-70's. Overnight, lows will be in the mid to upper 40's.
Friday, the warming trend starts back up as we get back into the 80's with southwest winds between 10-20 mph. Lows will be in the lower 60's.
Saturday and Sunday will be warm as well with highs in the mid to upper 80's.
