KTXS Forecast: Enjoy the spring-like weekend
ABILENE, Texas - With the sun mostly out this afternoon, temperatures are in the low to mid-60's. Windy conditions today are expected to calm into tonight to about 5-10 mph from the north. Skies will be mostly clear.
Sunday, get out there and enjoy the sunshine with temperatures in the lower 70's. North winds will shift east at about 10 mph. Sunday night, a few clouds work their way back in and lows will be in the lower 50's. Winds will be from the south at 10-15 mph.
Monday, temperatures quickly warm back up with south winds from 15-20 mph and mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the lower 80's. Overnight, lows will be in the upper 50's/lower 60's across the region. Southwest winds will be strong at 20 mph with higher gusts possible.
Tuesday, another warm one with highs topping out in the lower 90's. West winds will be about 20 mph with stronger gusts possible. Skies will be partly cloudy through the day and into the evening. Overnight, lows will be in the lower 60's.
Early Wednesday, a weak and dry cold front will push through, briefly shifting winds to the north at 15 mph. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80's. Winds shift to the east and south overnight with lows in the upper 50's.
Thursday will be another breezy and warm day with winds from the south at 20 mph and highs in the upper 80's/lower 90's. Overnight, lows will be in the mid-60's with an increasing chance of showers.
Friday, building clouds and and thunderstorms chances will increase through the day and into the evening. Highs will be in the upper 80's/lower 90's.
