KTXS Forecast: Even cooler afternoon highs with lingering showers.
ABILENE, Texas - Good morning! As you're getting up conditions outside will be cloudy again with temperatures in the upper 50s to mid-60s and winds will be out of the northeast at 5-10 mph. Similar to yesterday morning we will have scattered showers and fog chances as you start your day. You'll need an umbrella as you head out and give yourself extra time on the roadways this morning.
Thursday afternoon will see even cooler high temperatures. We'll range from the mid-60s to low 70s with continued showers and cloudy skies. Thursday night will be in the upper 50s/ low 60s with northeast winds and 5-10 mph and have persisting rain chances.
For our Friday, not much change is expected. Skies will remain cloudy, rain chances will hover around 40-50 percent and highs will be in the mid-60s to low 70s. Friday night will see rain chances decrease slightly, but lows will stay in the upper 50s with northeast winds at 5-10 mph.
Into the weekend, On Saturday, we will have a 10-20 percent chance of scattered showers in the morning but dry out into the afternoon. Skies will become partly cloudy, highs will warm to the low/ mid-70s and winds will switch to the east/ southeast at 5-10 mph. Saturday night will be in the low 60s with partly cloudy conditions.
Sunday and Monday look like they will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny with highs warming closer to normal in the upper 70s/ mid-80s. Winds will be out of the south/ southeast both days. Lows through this period will be in the low/ mid-60s with partly cloudy skies.
On Tuesday we will build a little more cloud cover but remain partly cloudy across the region. Highs will be around normal in the mid-80s with a 10 percent chance of isolated showers in the afternoon. Tuesday night will be mostly clear and in the mid-60s.
Currently, for Wednesday, it looks like it will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs remaining in the mid-80s.
