KTXS Forecast: Fair skies - warming trend starts Saturday

ABILENE, Texas - Much of our region saw a light dusting of snow Friday. That weather system moved east before sundown Friday. Fair skies returned Friday evening and should continue now through the weekend.

Temperatures stayed below freezing all day Friday and should remain that way through Saturday morning. Low temperatures Saturday should be around 14.

Sunny skies and light winds will allow Saturday afternoon temperatures to warm to near 40. Mostly clear skies should continue Saturday night. Freezing conditions will be back with lows in the middle 20s Sunday morning.

Breezy south winds around 20 mph and sunny skies should push Sunday afternoon temperatures up around 50. Most area should stay above freezing Sunday night with lows Monday morning in the upper 30s.

Fair skies are forecast for Monday with highs in the middle 60s. Look for partly cloudy skies Tuesday through Thursday with highs in the low to middle 70s. Colder air may move back in Friday.
