KTXS Forecast: Fall weather in sight...
ABILENE, Texas - After nearing the record high in Abilene and reaching the current record high in San Angelo yesterday, expect temperatures a few degrees below that of yesterday.
Highs are expected in the mid-90s with south winds at 15 mph. Stronger gusts are likely. Expect a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms, similar to the past several days. Lows overnight will be in the low to mid-70s.
Friday is the first official day of Fall and Mother Nature is expected to take the hint over the following days. Expect highs on Friday to range from the low to mid-90s under partly cloudy skies. Overnight, lows will be in the low 70s.
Saturday and Sunday, expect mostly cloudy conditions and therefore cooler temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s across the area. Winds will be from the south both days between 10 to 15 mph. Lows will be in the low 70s.
Sunday night, expect rain chances to start bumping up, mainly in the northwest. Into Monday, highs will be in the mid to upper 80s with increasing rain chances through the day.
A stalled front will continue to bring rain to the Big Country through much of the week as well as bring our temperatures closer to average.
