ABILENE, Texas - Friday morning we will start off with mostly clear to partly cloudy conditions with temperatures in the upper 40s/ low 50s and winds from the southeast at 5-10 mph.
Friday afternoon skies will clear to sunny/ mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s/ low 80s and winds from the southeast at 5-15 to 10-20 mph. Friday night we'll be clear to mostly clear and in the low/ mid-50s.
On Saturday highs jump to the mid-80s across the region with mostly sunny conditions and winds from the southeast at 10-20 mph. Saturday night we will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s.
Sunday we will start off mostly sunny but build cloud cover through the afternoon. Highs will still reach the low/ mid-80s with winds from the south at 10-20 mph. Sunday night skies become partly cloudy with lows in the low 60s and a 10-20 percent chance of thundershowers for the region.
On Monday a cold front will push through the Big Country. Skies remain partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with highs in the mid/ upper 70s, winds from the north at 5-10 mph and a 30-50 percent chance of thunderstorms for the region. Monday night rain chances decrease slightly and lows cool to the mid-50s.
For Tuesday the area will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with a 10-20 percent chance of thunderstorms for the region. Highs reach the mid/ upper 70s with winds from the northeast at 5-10 mph. Tuesday night skies build to mostly cloudy, rain chances increase and lows get to the mid-50s.
Wednesday currently looks like the day with the best rain chances for the Big Country. Thunderstorm chances build to 40-50 percent across the region with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s. Wednesday night rain chances continue and lows cool to the upper 50s.
Currently Thursday looks like it will be in the mid-70s with mostly cloudy skies and a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms for the area.
