KTXS Forecast: Freezing start Friday

ABILENE, Texas - High temperatures stayed in the 30s for most of the day Thursday under cloudy skies. As skies have cleared from north to south Thursday evening, temperatures have fallen into the 20s.

Mostly clear skies are expected over our region by sunrise Friday. Low temperatures should be in the low to middle 20s.

Friday should start off sunny, but some clouds are expected to return for the middle part of the day. High temperatures should warm into the lower 50s. Skies should clear again from northwest to southeast late afternoon.

Clear skies are forecast for Friday night. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be in the low to middle 30s - a light freeze is possible.

Sunny skies are expected for the day Saturday. High temperatures should be around 60s. Breezy northwest winds at 15 mph will make it feel a little cool.

Mostly fair skies and mild temperatures are expected to continue Sunday through Thursday. High temperatures should be in the upper 60s with lows from the middle 30s to around 40.
