KTXS Forecast: Milder temperatures Friday

ABILENE, Texas - It felt like summer again Thursday. High temperatures in our area ranged from 86 to 92. The high temperature in Abilene was 88 which broke the old record for November 2nd of 84.

San Angelo also set a new record high for November 2nd at 92. The old record high was 91.

We are tracking a weak cold front moving south into our area Thursday night. It should bring noticeably milder temperatures for Friday.

Clouds are forecast to return to our region before sunrise, but dry weather should continue. Low temperatures Friday morning should be around 50.

Sunny skies are forecast to return for Friday afternoon. High temperatures in the Big Country should be in the upper 70s. Look for highs in the low to middle 80s for the Concho Valley and Heartland.

Fair skies are expected for Friday night football games. Temperatures should be in the middle to upper 60s.

Mostly cloudy skies are likely for Saturday morning. Low temperatures should be around 60. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for the rest of the day Saturday. High temperatures should be in the upper 80s.

Partly cloudy skies are expected for Sunday and Monday with high temperatures near 90 both days.

Record high temperatures will be threatened in Abilene this weekend and Monday. Current records:

Nov 5 - 90 (Sunday)

Nov 6 - 88 (Monday)

A fairly strong cold front should move in Tuesday and bring back cool temperatures for the middle of the upcoming week.
