KTXS Forecast: Milder temperatures returning Tuesday night

ABILENE, Texas - Fair skies and high temperatures in the 90s were found over our area Labor Day Monday. Quiet weather continues Monday night. Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be in the middle to upper 60s.

We are tracking a cold front that should move south through our area Tuesday and Tuesday evening. Just isolated thundershowers are expected with this front - more likely in the Heartland. High temperatures should be around 90 in the Big Country and in the lower to middle 90s in the Heartland and Concho Valley Tuesday afternoon.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Tuesday night. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be around 60. Weak disturbances passing to our west should bring some clouds to our area for Wednesday. However, it should be dry. High temperatures Wednesday should be in the lower to middle 80s.

Enjoy a mild start to the day Thursday with fair skies and low temperatures around 60. Sunny skies are forecast for Thursday and Friday with high temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. Fair skies are expected to continue for the weekend with highs in the upper 80s both days.
