ABILENE, Texas - We are tracking an upper level low pressure system to our west. This feature is helping create showers and thundershowers in our area that are sometimes producing heavy rainfall.

Until this feature moves east of our area late Friday, we should see continued cloudy skies with occasional rounds of showers. Heavy rainfall that may cause local flooding of mainly roadways is the main weather danger into Friday.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the western 2/3 of our area into Thursday. The watch is around and west of a Haskell to Abilene to Eden line. One to two more inches of rain will be possible on top of the one to three inches that has already fallen since Sunday.

Temperatures are not expected to change much through Friday. Low temperatures should be near 60 with high temperatures near 70.

Cloudy skies are expected to finally give way to partly cloudy skies for Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures this weekend should be in the middle 70s Saturday and the lower 80s Sunday.
