KTXS Forecast: Mostly cloudy& cool Friday

ABILENE, Texas - Fair skies and below normal temperatures were with us Thursday. Some clouds may return late Thursday night, but dry weather should be found Friday morning. Low temperatures should be in the upper 20s - another freezing start.

Clouds are forecast to increase over the area during the day Friday. We are tracking a chance of rain showers south of I-20 for Friday afternoon - especially from Brady to San Angelo. The Big Country is expected to stay dry. High temperatures Friday should be around 50.

Showers should move south of our southern areas Friday evening. Skies should clear from north to south Friday night. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be in the upper 20s again.

Look for sunny skies Saturday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 50s. North winds around 15 mph will make it feel a little chilly. Fair skies should hold for Saturday night. Low temperatures Sunday morning should be in the middle 30s.

Sunny skies are expected for Sunday and Monday. High temperatures Sunday should be in the low to middle 60s. Monday afternoon readings may approach 70. Dry weather is forecast to continue through Thursday.
