KTXS Forecast: Near record breaking temperatures expected
ABILENE, Texas - This morning will start off more mild than previous mornings with temperatures in the low 70s. Expect quite a warm up through the day with temperatures in the upper 80s by lunch time. Highs will range anywhere from upper 90s to low 100s. South/southeast winds will be from 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight, mild lows continue and cloud cover will build in overnight. South winds will be about 15 mph.
Friday, cloud cover will help keep temperatures down slightly in the mid to upper 90s. In the afternoon, a few thundershowers may develop west of the Big Country and push into western areas in the evening. They will dissipate overnight. Lows will be in the low 70s.
Saturday and Sunday will see a slight cool down of temperatures, bringing them closer to average. Highs will be in the low 90s with mostly cloudy skies both days. Lows will be in the low 70s.
Monday, cloud cover remains through the morning and rain chances move across our northwestern areas in the afternoon. Winds will pick up from the south up to 20 to 25 mph. Winds overnight will shift to the southwest. Lows will be in the mid-70s.
Tuesday, rain chances linger into the morning but ultimately move out and skies clear out by the afternoon. Highs return to the mid to upper 90s.
