KTXS Forecast: Perfect weather for a holiday week
ABILENE, Texas - It was a cool weekend with temperatures in the 50s and 60s and expect seasonable weather to continue through much of the week with a slight warm up toward the end.
Tonight, lows will get back down into the 30s but staying above freezing for a majority of the Big Country. Winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 mph under mostly clear skies.
Monday, expect a slight warming trend. Plenty of sunshine and southwest winds will bring our temperatures into the upper 60s. Expect a few clouds, mainly upper level clouds. Monday night, cloud cover will build ahead of an oncoming cold front. Lows will be in the low to mid-40s.
Tuesday, a cold front will work its way through the area about mid-day. Temperatures in northern areas will be in the low to mid-60s while southern areas will still climb to the low 70s. Lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.
Wednesday, temperatures will be very comfortable. Highs will range from the low to upper 60s. Expect light, variable winds through the day. Skies will be mostly sunny. Overnight, lows will dip to the mid-30s to mid-40s. Winds will return to the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
For Thanksgiving, expect warmer temperatures and very sunny conditions. Highs will get to the upper 60s to low 70s. Winds will be calm and skies, mostly clear. Lows will be in the low to mid-40s.
Friday will warm to be the warmest day of the week with highs in the mid-70s to low 80s. Our next cold front will get to the area Saturday and bring temperatures down a few degrees.
