KTXS Forecast: Rain chances return Tuesday evening

ABILENE, Texas - Above normal temperatures were found over our region Monday. This warm air should stay with us Tuesday. We are tracking an upper level disturbance that is expected to move west into our area Tuesday night. Showers and thundershowers are expected in our region Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Mostly cloudy skies should continue over our area Monday night. Low temperatures Tuesday morning should be around 70. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for midday Tuesday. High temperatures should warm into the middle 80s.

Clouds are forecast to increase from east to west over our area Tuesday afternoon. Showers and thundershowers are expected to move west into our area Tuesday night. Severe weather is not expected but lightning will be possible. Low temperatures Wednesday morning should be around 70.

Cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday with passing showers likely. High temperatures will struggle to reach 80. Shower chances should fade Wednesday night. Low temperatures Thursday morning should be in the upper 60s.

The better chances for showers should shift off to our northwest Thursday. Look for mostly to partly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s Thursday.

Mainly partly cloudy skies are expected for Friday through Sunday. We do have a chance for morning showers Saturday. High temperatures should be in the middle to upper 80s.
