KTXS Forecast: Rain chances return with building cloud cover.

ABILENE, Texas - Good morning! As you're getting up conditions outside will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s and winds are out of the south/ southeast at 5-15 mph. There will be a stray chance of a shower this morning.

Tuesday afternoon the region will begin to build cloud cover, so we will become partly cloudy to partly sunny. Highs are still expected to make it to the low/ mid-80 with winds from the south/ southeast at 10-15 mph. Rain chances will begin around 10 percent but build through the afternoon as well. Into Tuesday night the Big Country will become partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s/ low 70 and rain chances will be around 20-40 percent.

Wednesday and Thursday look like they will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with highs staying in the upper 70s to low 80s. Winds both days will be out of the southeast at 5-10 mph and rain chances will hover around 20-50 percent across the Big Country. Lows through this period will be in the mid/ upper 60s with cloudy skies and lingering rain chances.

By Friday afternoon we will be partly cloudy with highs back in the mid-80s and winds will remain out of the south at 5-10 mph. Friday night will clear slightly and lows will be in the low/ mid-60s.

Into the weekend, for Saturday and Sunday, it looks like both days will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs warming to the mid-80s. Lows through this period will be in the mid-60s with partly cloudy conditions and have south winds at 5-10 mph.

Currently, for Monday and Tuesday, it looks like the region will be mostly sunny with highs warming to above normal temperatures in the mid/ upper 80s. Lows through this period will be in the low/ mid-60 with mostly clear conditions and winds from the south/ southeast at 5-10 mph.
